Now when they had seen Him, they made widely known the saying which was told them concerning this Child.
— Luke 2:17 NKJV
The shepherds had quite an experience that night, didn’t they? I mean, not only did they see one angel, but they saw a multitude of the heavenly host! What an amazing and awestriking sight that must have been! And then, they immediately went and found this Child that the angel had told them about!
Yet, the shepherds didn’t stop there. They couldn’t keep the news to themselves! Everyone the shepherds met heard their amazing tale! The angel. The heavenly host. But most importantly, the baby in the manger!
We also have a tale to tell. Jesus Christ has given us the gift of Salvation, and He has commanded us to share it with the world! How could we keep this wonderful news to ourselves? We, like the shepherds, ought to make known the wonderful truth about the Child in the manger!
Let’s Pray:
Dear Lord,
Thank You for sending Your Son down to earth to live and die to rescue poor, lost sinners like us! Help us to share this Good News with the world. How can we keep it to ourselves?
In Jesus’ Name,
Amen
This song is an idea of what the shepherds’ story may have sounded like! And the Cedarmont Kids give a beautiful rendition!
