Hi y’all, and happy new year! How exciting it is to be entering 2025! As promised, this newsletter will be a Q&A where I will be answering questions submitted by y’all, but first of all I’d like to make a short announcement!
Today marks the beginning of my new newsletter, Journey Into Journaling! If one of your goals this year is to stay committed to journaling, you should go ahead and check this publication out! With an accountability chat space and weekly journal prompts, my aim is to bring individuals joy and consistency in their journaling journey!
Now, onto the questions!
Q&A with Melody Polar
What Could You Never Live Without?
Do you mean besides Jesus and my Bible? My family!
At What Age Did You Profess Christ As Your Savior?
I was four years old, and I was so excited to telephone everyone I knew and tell them!
What Denomination Are You?
Independent Baptist/Bible Church
What Is Your Favorite Christmas Movie?
You mean I have to pick only one?! Um . . . White Christmas I guess. But it is closely tied with Holiday Inn, Polar Express, Elf, Home Alone . . . (I don’t think I can pick only one 😅)!
Do You Believe Christ Will Return In This Century? More Specifically In The Next Few Years?
I believe in the imminent return of our Lord and Savior. That could be in the next few years, but it could also be a thousand years from now. I cannot say with certainty when the Lord is coming back, but I can say with certainty that He is coming back and soon (but by His standards, not ours)!
But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.
— Matthew 24:36 KJV
And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be . . . . He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.
— Revelation 22:12, 20
What Is Your Favorite Post You’ve Written?
My all-time favorite is definitely “Breaking Free From Princess Culture!” This devotional dealt with a problem that seems to be really prevalent among young women and girls today. Plus, I loved the cover photo! (I am an all-out girly girl if you haven’t guessed!)
What Are Your Top 5 Favorite Scripture Verses/Verse Sections/Books of the Bible?
Well, I don’t normally rank things, and the list I’m gonna give you is out of order, but here it is:
1 Corinthians 13; specifically verse 11:
'When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things. '
1 Corinthians 13:11
Ruth
Proverbs 31
Psalm 119
The Gospel of John
Honestly, there is so much packed into Scripture that it is extremely hard to pick favorites!
What Is A Book You Wish You Had Written + A Book You Wish You Could Read Again?
Nonfiction: A Girl After God’s Own Heart by Elizabeth George
Fiction: The Princess by Lori Wick
What Are Your Favorite/Least Favorite Music Genres?
Favorite: Christian, Classical, and Traditional
Least Favorite: Rap, Rock, and Pop
What Is One of Your Favorite Memories?
