Hey y’all! Hope your new year is going great! I have a few things to share with you that couldn’t wait till February, so you’re getting that month’s newsletter now. (Maybe I should’ve called it January Newsletter Take 2? Lol)
Anyway, first off I want to thank all of you subscribers, especially those of you who have been with me from the beginning of this journey. Did you know I’ve officially been blogging for over a year now? On January 16th of last year, I was so excited to post my first devotional on a little blog called The Controversial Book Club (now The YA Section). It was a small blog (which has since grown) where a bunch of young writers got together to blog for a young audience. I loved writing for the CBC, but I felt God leading me down a different path. So, on April 25th, I officially left that blog to start my own blog, Roses In A Thorny World. And then at the beginning of the year, I started a blog/newsletter on journaling. It’s been quite a journey, but it has been such a blessing to see how my words can affect others. I’ve made new friends, written over a hundred posts (combining the ones from all the blogs), and reached 128 subscribers and 235 followers! Last year, I could never have imagined how my writing could take off like this, but here I am!

But, while I love writing, there are also bigger changes going on in my life. I officially got my first job, and I’m currently working toward finishing my senior year of high school. These commitments are taking a good bit of time out of my schedule, which is why I’ve decided that I really need a break just to get everything organized and figure out what my priorities need to be. In light of this, I will be taking an extended break from the blog, starting this week and lasting through February.
I hope y’all will continue to stick with me, and I hope to see you again soon in March. You’ll still be able to find me floating around in Notes on Substack, and you can reach out to me through the blog chat or a private message through Substack anytime.
Once again, I just want to thank you all for how supportive you’ve been to me on this journey.
Your sister in Christ,
